Is gay the new black?

This article says that gay is the new black, but I think not! Please don't get me wrong, I do understand where they are coming from, but I do believe that there is a very distinct difference between the Civil Rights Movement for people of color and the Gay Rights Movement. Gay is not my thing, but I support human rights.
